BRIAN TAKES UP KEY REGIONAL APPOINTMENT

Coventry man Brian Evans has been appointed President of the Funeral Directors Guild – Coventry & District.

Brian, who is Manager of the Heart of England Co-operative Society’s funeral homes in Lower Holyhead Road and Ansty Road, will hold the post for the next two years.

His appointment follows on from his appointment as Vice President of the Funeral Directors Guild – Coventry & District – a position he also held for two years.

The Guild meets on a quarterly basis and also works closely with a number of groups linked with the industry, such as local council authorities, hospitals, clergymen and mortuaries. Together they also highlight and focus on issues arising that affect the industry.

Brian, who has worked in funerals for almost a quarter of a century, said: “I am delighted with my appointment. During my two years I will ensure the Guild continues in its work to look after the interests of the funeral directors who are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, as well as championing the highest levels of client service.”

Brian, aged 60, is married and lives in Coventry.
