HEART OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY APPOINTS NEW MANAGER AT MERIDEN LATESHOP

Rob Owen ManagerThe Heart of England Co-operative Society has appointed local man Rob Owen Manager of its Meriden Lateshop.

At just 21 Rob is one of the youngest Managers within the Society's network of 33 Foodcentres and Lateshops across Coventry, Warwickshire, south Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

Rob, who lives in Meriden, has been with the Society since the age of 16 and has worked in the village store for the last five years.

After leaving college he took up the trainee manager scheme. Within eight months he completed the course and was made Deputy Manager of Meriden, before being appointed Manager.

He said: "I am delighted to take up my position as manager of the Meriden Lateshop. Being local to Meriden and having worked in the store for five years I already have a fantastic relationship the customers. It is a fantastic store within a close-knit community."

In his new role Rob is in charge of a team of nine.
