GURDIP MARKS A QUARTER OF A CENTURY WITH THE HEART OF ENGLAND
CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY
Gurdip Virk from Coventry celebrated a career milestone on Thursday when she marked 25 years with the Heart of England Co-operative Society.
The mother-of-four was 30 when she started as a Property Maintenance Clerk with the then Coventry and District Co-operative Society in their Swan Lane offices.
Today she works out of the Society's Oaston Road branch in Nuneaton where her role, under the management of Property Services Manager Neil Morris, includes arranging the ongoing maintenance and repairs of Society branches.
Gurdip, who lives in the Gibbet Hill area of Coventry with husband Surjit and 16-year-old son Nick, said: "I have had a fantastic 25 years with the Heart of England Co-operative Society. I have worked with some great people in that time. The job in itself is varied, challenging and rewarding and although it has had its moments I have thoroughly enjoyed it."
Neil Morris added: "Gurdip has done a fantastic job for the Society for the past 25 years and is a trusted, valued member of the team. Our congratulations to her for reaching this milestone. She has proven to be a real asset."
