DAVID APPOINTED MANAGER OF THE LONG ITCHINGTON LATESHOP

The Heart of England Co-operative Society has appointed David Broadley as Store Manager of the Long Itchington Lateshop.

After working as Store Manager for another supermarket for a number of years David, aged 51, opted for a change in career and chose to work for a company whose culture and ethos reflected a more friendly and customer orientated environment.

“One of the main reasons I wanted to work for the Heart of England was their ethos”, said David, “It is different from the majority of companies out there.”

A little over two years ago, David, who has been married for 28 years, left his previous job and joined the Society as a Manager Designate, training at the Attleborough Green and Earlsdon stores before settling as Manager at the Meriden branch.

“I enjoyed it from the start,“ said David. “The whole attitude of the Society is synonymous with customer and employee satisfaction, and was different to any job I had had before.”

After five months at Meriden, David moved to Long Lawford in May last year and quickly made a very positive impression. After continually meeting and beating targets, he was appointed Manager at the bigger Long Itchington branch earlier this month.

Despite only being with the Society for two years, David has settled in well and is looking forward to the new challenges ahead.

He said: “I am really pleased to get this new position and take over what is already a great store. The staff are very hard working and the local people have been so welcoming. I am confident my team and I can continue to make this store grow."
