Memorials Collection

Memorials Collection

For centuries people have created memorials to remember their loved ones. A memorial provides us with a focus for our personal memories - a place to visit, lay flowers and reflect on happy times. This page takes you through the different options for burial and cremation memorials to help you choose the most appropriate memorial for your loved one.

New Memorials

We are able to offer a wide range of traditional and contemporary style memorials to suit all tastes and budgets. Things to consider when making your choice:
• Memorial design and size
• The type of material and colour
• The inscription style, colour and content
• Photo plaques, ornamentation or other etchings
• Flower containers and vases

Additional Inscriptions and Memorial Cleaning

At The co-operative funeralcare, we can add additional inscriptions on to existing memorials and we also offer a cleaning and renovation service. Please ask for further information about these services.

Regulations

There are many regulations governing the type of memorials that can be erected in a churchyard or cemetery. For example, in some areas you cannot have kerbing around the grave space and in churchyards, granite, marble, 'open books', crosses and gilded letters are not usually permitted. The size of the memorial is generally governed by the appropriate burial authority. Please allow us to check these regulations for you before you make your final choice.
