Positions currently available:

Food

Deputy Store Managers
(Food Division)

Salary between £22,000-£24,000

We are looking to recruit Deputy Store Managers for our Co-operative food convenience stores located in Coventry, Rugby and Nuneaton area.

Your role will be to assist the Store Manager in managing the store. You will inject your own personality and fresh thinking into a business that is recognised for its honesty and integrity.

Successful applicants will be committed, enthusiastic, organised and be able to work as part of a team to deliver the highest standards of customer service.You should have relevant management experience preferably with knowledge of existing food convenience store practices and systems however full training will be provided.

Applicants must be available to work five out of seven days with fully flexibility contracted to 39 hours but also to cover additional hours as the business requires.

You should be fully mobile as you may be required to travel to any store within the trading area.

Part-Time Food Store Supervisors – Coventry

We are currently looking to recruit Part Time Supervisors to work in our Food Stores in the Coventry area.

Previous retail experience is essential and previous supervisory experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent customer service skills, be able to work within a team and on their own initiative. They will have supervisory responsibilities which will include being responsible for cash and the opening and closing of the Store.

The positions are Part Time and will be worked over a seven day trading period so flexibility in working hours is essential.

Funeralcare

Casual Funeral Assistants – Coventry, Nuneaton and Rugby

We are looking to recruit a casual Funeral Assistants to work ‘as and when required’ at our funeral homes in our trading area which will mainly consist of funerals around our Coventry, Nuneaton or Rugby locations.

We are looking for an individual who is able to work well as part of a team, yet can work on their own initiative. Someone who can work well under pressure whilst maintaining a sympathetic manner and being sensitive to the needs of others.

The main duties and responsibilities will include vehicle preparation, attendance on the day of the funeral driving and / or bearing, dealing with the deceased in a dignified and respectful manner, and other associated tasks.

Candidates must be caring and compassionate with a committed approach to excellent client service. You will also require a mature tactful approach, possess a full driving licence and must be of smart appearance.

As this is a casual position with no guaranteed hours the applicant will need to be flexible with their approach to working hours. Within this role you may also be required to work at other branches within the Division.

Funeral Assistant – Nuneaton (39 hours per week)

We are currently looking to recruit a full time Funeral Assistant to work 39 hours per week at our Funeral Home in Nuneaton. In addition to the full time hours the applicant must participate in the out of hours rota covering evenings and weekends on call, as well as weekend funerals.

We are looking for an individual who is able to work well as part of a team, yet can work to their own initiative. The ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a sympathetic manner and being sensitive to the needs of others is a prerequisite.

The main duties and responsibilities for the Funeral Assistant will include bringing the deceased into our care from hospitals, nursing homes, private residences and other locations, fitting of the coffins, preparation and cleaning of the vehicles, attendance of the funeral bearing the coffin and other associated tasks.

Candidates must be caring and compassionate with a committed approach to excellent client service. You will also require a mature tactful approach and possess a full driving licence.

Flexibility is essential to this role as you may be required to work at other branches within the Division.

Head Office

Full Time Funeral Plan Consultant

We are looking to recruit a Funeral Plan Consultant (39 hours per week) to be based currently within our Head Office in Nuneaton moving to the new Coventry Head Office in October 2018 with the majority of your time spent out in the field.

The successful candidate will be required to promote and sell our Pre-Paid Funeral Plans. They will need to have excellent communication skills as they will be liaising with internal and external and the ability to act as an ambassador for the brand.

Candidates must be caring, compassionate and committed to delivering an excellent client experience. Knowledge of Funeral Planning products / Life insurance markets would be preferable. Previous sales experience required. A mature tactful manner with good telephone skills and computer literacy are prerequisites.

Full training on role specific tasks and the computer system will be given.

Please note that the successful applicants will commence training at the current Head Office in Nuneaton prior to moving to the Coventry Office

Courier (Casual Position)

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the distribution of the Society’s internal mail system across the Society’s trading area. Due to the nature of the work there will be some heavy lifting and good manual handling is an essential part of the role.

A full clean driving licence is required and a delivery vehicle will be provided.

This is a casual position to cover holidays and sickness so applicants will need to be flexible in their hours work.

Part Time Receptionist

The Society currently has a vacancy for the above position currently situated at the Head Office in Nuneaton moving to Coventry in October 2018.

The hours available are 15.5 per week over two days.

The successful applicant will have administration skills, be of smart appearance, be able to work flexible hours to cover holidays and be able to work as part of a team.

Previous reception/switchboard experience would be an advantage.
Applicants will be computer literate and conversant with Microsoft software.

Please note the successful applicant will commence their training at the current Head Office in Nuneaton prior to moving to the Coventry office.

Part-Time Accounts/Admin Clerk

The Society is currently looking to recruit a part time Accounts Clerk to work in our busy General Office situated currently in Nuneaton but moving to the new Coventry office in October 2018.

The hours available are 30 hours per week,to be worked over five days Monday to Friday.

This position requires someone who is computer literate, has good numeracy skills and who can pay attention to detail.

The successful applicant should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and sound administration skills.

Previous experience in all areas of Accounts would be an advantage however full training will be given.
